It is perfectly appropriate that there should be a "campaign" in memory of Bernard Bachrach, whom we lost earlier in 2023.  The University of Minnesota has announced the establishment of an Award in Medieval Studies and Military History to honor Prof. Bachrach's long career as a scholar, teacher, and mentor.

As one of the Society's founding members, as well as a presenter, officer, and ready participant in the Q&A following any paper, Bernie's legacy in the society remains alive and well.  Current members of the Haskins Society, ever-mindful of how leading scholars like Bernie provided a welcome to young researchers, look forward to new contributions by future awardees.
